Reaching Antwerp is easy. The main point for orientation is «Antwerpen Centraal» railway station in the city centre. All trains and busses from the airports converge there and at the same time it is very close to the conference venue and hotels!

Belgium has a temperate climate, but last years the weather in September has been relatively dry and mild (to our standards), with temperatures around 20°C, yet for the same price temperatures can drop to 10°C.
Rain and showers are not excluded. So, weather may be quite unpredictable and variable, but on average, September is a nice month... with usually excellent weather for enjoying a drink (and scientific discussions of course...) on one of the many terraces in the city centre...

Since January 1st 2002, the official currency is the EURO (€).

The voltage throughout Belgium is 220 V, generated at 50Hz. It is advisable to bring an adapter for any electrical equipment you have with you.
